Extra product info

Before installing your new logo mat, please read our instructions below.

Cutting Line:

Please remove the coloured cutting line before installation.

Please lay your logo mat, play element or track flat after transport.

After transport it is possible that the sides of your ordered product may be slightly raised or curled.

This can be easily corrected by laying the mat flat with the latex side (back) facing up for a while, or even quicker if you have the opportunity to lay it in the sun.

Installation & Maintenance

Our logo mats should only be installed by a professional to ensure the best result.

The seams must be secured with a special polyurethane adhesive for artificial grass.

Signgrass® logo mats are low maintenance, just like artificial grass, but not maintenance free!

• Brush the grass regularly with a stiff broom or rake

• Keep the grass free of debris and leaves

• Remove leaves with a leaf blower or rake

• Remove weeds immediately to prevent the spread of seeds

• Use clean water to rinse off spills such as liquids, sauces or melted ice creams

• Pet excrement or smells can be removed using a shovel or detergent and water

• Avoid contact with hot materials (or close proximity to glass structures) to prevent shrinkage of the grass fibers.

Gas fading:

The discolouration of polyethylene is a well-known phenomenon in the polymer industry. It is also known as yellowing, pinking or gas fading. The colour changes in the material are generally due to the auto-oxidation of phenolic antioxidants in the base polymer used. These phenolic antioxidants are added to the resin by the manufacturer to protect and stabilise the polymer during processing and use. The change in colour of the polymer is purely cosmetic and does not affect the physical properties.

The sources of discolouration in polyethylene are diverse and can range from packaging to inappropriate material composition. The most important source is excessive levels of atmospheric pollutants such as nitrogen oxides (NOx). The relatively high levels of NOx are usually caused by exhaust fumes (gas fading), for example from forklift trucks and heating systems in warehouses..

To reverse and remove the discolouration, expose the material to UV light (sunlight).

For synthetic fibres, the yellow sheen on white yarn will disappear after installation of an outdoor pitch. If synthetic grass is used for indoor applications, exposure to sunlight prior to installation will remove the yellow tint.
